About Me

Career Goals:

I love going into "the zone" and focusing on the modelling/design/problem solving task I am working on. Completing such a task gives me a sense of achievement.

As such I am enrolled in
a Graduate Diploma of Science in Applied Maths at the University of Queensland.

Biography:

Born 7th, September, 1990; in primary school I won awards in maths competitions. My primary school gave out awards on graduation night, and they created a new award just for me, the maths award.

In high school I did quite well, gaining an Overall Position of 2, an A on the Queensland Core Skills Test, and head of class in chemistry.

I attended 5 full-time semesters at Griffith-Uni, where I studied Bachelor of Electronic and Computer Engineering / Bachelor of Science (Applied Maths). Although my grades were excellent, I was forced to withdraw due to health problems.

In the next few years I worked a few different jobs that I was not well suited to and that exacerbated my health problems.

Since then I have completed a Bachelor of Mathematics at the University of Queensland and have been working as a courier for Menulog since November 2021. My health problems have improved dramatically.

In semester 2, 2022 I completed three subjects towards a Graduate Diploma in Applied Mathematics.

Work Experience:

June 2024 - Abbey Medieval Festival - Volunteer

3 weeks part-time, worked on setup, admissions and packdown

April 2024 - FOSS Programmer

0A.D is a free and open source software game development project. The game engine is called Pyrogenesis. Pyrogenesis' scenario editor is called Atlas. Atlas is written in C++ with wxWidgets. I added a button to Atlas that allows the user to preview actors (units, buildings, etc.) in either an orthogonal or a perspective camera mode. PS I don't think this patch is going to be green lit.
